# Work with your team

> Invite people to your workspace so you share the same Methods, runs and corrections.

Everything in Method belongs to a **workspace**, not to one person. Everyone in a workspace sees and changes the same Methods, versions, runs and judgments.

## Invite a person

1. Open the dashboard, then **Account**.
2. Under **Members**, type the person's email address and click **Invite**. Method sends them an email.
3. The person signs up or signs in with that email address. They join your workspace at once.

An invitation stays open for 30 days. To send the email again, invite the same address again. To stop an invitation, click **Cancel**.

A person can be in only one workspace. If the email address already has a Method workspace of its own, the invitation is refused.

## What you share

* **Methods and versions.** When a teammate saves a new version, your next `method run` uses it, unless you changed the file on your computer.
* **Runs.** The dashboard shows each run and who started it.
* **Judgments.** A wrong result that anyone marks, on the dashboard or with `method judge`, goes into the same improvement loop.

When **Keep run content on devices** is on, or a Method has `run_data: device`, the inputs and outputs of a run stay on the computer that ran it. Teammates see its steps, status and timing only. See [Privacy](/guides/privacy).

## Work at the same time

Two people can change, run and correct the same Method at the same time. You do not lock anything, and nobody loses work.

* **Each run uses the newest version.** Before `method run`, a fix with `method judge`, or `method publish`, your file takes the newest version of the Method. One line says whose version it took and which of your changes are kept, for example: `Updated to Gráinne's version from 10:42 (changed step judge). Your changes to step claims are kept.`
* **Changes to different parts are combined.** When you changed one step and a teammate changed another step, your file gets both.
* **Only the same part stops the work.** When you both changed the same step or the same script file, nothing runs and your file does not change. The result shows both texts. Combine them in the file, then run again.
* **A save that a teammate's save overtook is kept.** It is saved beside the newer version, and your next run combines the two.
* **Corrections that contradict each other are held.** When two people judge the same run and step in opposite ways, nothing is fixed until one of you clicks **Keep** on the run page. The Inbox lists these.
* **A correction of a step that changed since the run is not applied.** The run page says who changed the step.
* **Undo takes out one change.** Undo on a change Method made keeps everything that people saved after it.
* **The same run says when it is already going.** When a teammate runs the same version with the same inputs, one line links to their run. Your run starts too.

The dashboard shows who saved each version. The run page shows who noted each correction and who fixed it. The Inbox shows what teammates changed this week.

## Rename the workspace or remove a member

On the Account page, type a new name next to **Rename**. To remove a member, click **Remove** next to their name. They lose access at once, on the dashboard and on their computers. To let them back in, invite them again.
